“ Wow, I’ve eaten a lot of pizza from a lot of different shops and this one absolutely takes it for me! New York style pizza done right, each slice was better than the last. Some of the best places have simple and small menus, and Johnny’s is no exception! The vodka, hot honey pepperoni burrata was absolutely on fire, but I also tried some things I never thought I would try before! Pesto vodka pepperoni, and the vodka pesto MUST TRY! o h&& you absolutely must get the garlic knots the sauce is worth it. Trust me. ”

“ I heard a little hype about this place, had the vodka pepperoni and I would say it lived up to the hype. There's a limited choice of options, and the pizza is a little expensive with the plain slice being $4.50. Notably, they don't really have a ton of pizzas sitting around, so they are just pumping them right out of the oven, so expect a piping hot slice. The slice does very well in many things: have a crispy and airy crust, a good balance of ingredients, constant crispness, and a nice presentation. The vodka pepperoni was very greasy which kinda balances out the rather crispy undercarriage, resulting in a little flop but nothing crazy. I would note the vodka sauce is somewhere in between a real vodka sauce and red sauce, so maybe there's a little dilution in the cream aspect. I also got a piece of burrata on my slice, which goes into a little incongruety in the slices. You see the workers paying attention to customizing slices, and the customer service is solid. But as this place is pumping out slices live from the oven, there could be inconsistency with what is available. Overall, this is a top slice spot in NYC with higher prices, but does very well at the slice. You may expect a little inconsistency, but the slice can also blow you away. ”

“ This pizza was insanely good. There’s a crispy crunch in every bite. The vodka pepperoni was my favorite, it was creamy and delicious. I also got regular pepperoni and meat lovers, and I loved the peppers on the meat lovers which I don’t usually love. I got hot honey with it too, I highly recommend that. Paired with a Diet Coke - YUM CITY! I wish there were seats instead of standing tables only but not a big deal ”
“ We went here for the Barbari bread and the saffron ice cream, both were beyond my expectations from a pizza place in Manhattan! Exceptional ice cream (one of the best I ever had and I had MANY in Iran) and great Barbari. I just hope they keep selling them and I can go whenever I crave them. We also tried the pizza, which again became one of the best slices I ever had in NYC, very pronounced and lovely char action going on and an amazing EXTRA thin and crisp slice. I don’t know how one place can do all of this but just please stay here forever! ”

“ Tried Johnny’s Pizza and really enjoyed it. The white mushroom slice was one of the best I’ve ever had. The vodka slice was solid, and the meat lovers was good too. A couple of things to note: they only serve barbari bread on Fridays and Saturdays, and even though the menu says Persian ice cream is available every day, they didn’t have it when we went on a Wednesday. Overall, the pizza is worth coming for. Just know there’s no bathroom for customers and no seating, so it’s more of a quick stop than a sit-down spot. ”
